{"id":206,"date":"2008-12-28T20:40:53","date_gmt":"2008-12-29T03:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kbtechworks.com\/kbranch\/blog\/?p=206"},"modified":"2012-04-02T17:20:14","modified_gmt":"2012-04-03T00:20:14","slug":"homeless-for-the-holidays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kbtechworks.com\/kbranch\/blog\/archives\/206","title":{"rendered":"Home(less) for the holidays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our move date was scheduled so late that we ended up having most everything done a couple days in advance, so we decided to wrap it up and take our last weekend in LA to do some fun tourist type activities.<\/p>\n<p>Friday night we had a fancy dinner out on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.queenmary.com\/\">Queen Mary<\/a>. After dinner, we had a drink at the art deco Observation Bar on the ship.<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"&amp;offsite=true&amp;lang=en-us&amp;page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F10293577%40N03%2Fsets%2F72157611805954584%2Fshow%2F&amp;page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F10293577%40N03%2Fsets%2F72157611805954584%2F&amp;set_id=72157611805954584&amp;jump_to=\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/apps\/slideshow\/show.swf?v=63961\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Then on Saturday, we went to Disneyland and California Adventure. Neither of us had been in a long time. We had a great time, despite how cold it was. It was very nice to not think about moving or any of the related challenges for a whole day.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"400\" height=\"300\"><param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"&#038;offsite=true&amp;lang=en-us&#038;page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F10293577%40N03%2Fsets%2F72157611806228220%2Fshow%2F&#038;page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F10293577%40N03%2Fsets%2F72157611806228220%2F&#038;set_id=72157611806228220&#038;jump_to=\"><\/param><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/apps\/slideshow\/show.swf?v=63961\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><\/object><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve also seen a few movies. <em>Milk<\/em> was great. <em>The Day the Earth Stood Still<\/em> wasn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>And all week, we&#8217;ve been celebrating the holidays with the 12 days of sushi. We love sushi and will miss our weekly Wed. night sushi outings. (It is the one thing I have had no success with making myself.)
