I watered them daily until they were about 6&#8243; high and then less frequently after that.<\/li>\n<li>The germination rate was close to 100%.<\/li>\n<li>Somewhere around week 2, the leaves of the beans started getting eaten pretty good. I suspect cutter bees. Since they aren&#8217;t around much and are supposed to do more good than harm, I decided to just leave them and see what happened.<\/li>\n<li>As expected, the cutter bees didn&#8217;t stay around long. They did a fair amount of damage, but nothing that couldn&#8217;t be overcome.<\/li>\n<li>At about 4 weeks, the monsoons hit, and the beans started growing much faster (like everything else).<\/li>\n<li>Today, at about 6 weeks, we saw the first blooms. I had heard they would be very pretty and red. these are a dark orange.
